Welcome to my homepage! I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science, National University of Singapore. Prior to joining this department, I completed PhD from the Department of Statistics, the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. My doctoral advisor was Bhaswar Bhattacharya.
I am interested in both Statistics and Probability. Within Statistics, my research interests include non-parametric statistics (testing and variable selection), inference in graphical models, high-dimensional CLT, shape-restricted regression and inference in Markov random fields. Within Probability, my research interests include discrete & combinatorial probability, large deviations, random graphs and statistical physics. My Ph.D. dissertation thesis centers around the problem of inference in higher order Markov random fields, particularly in tensor Ising models.

Applicants must have a reasonable background in coding with R/MATLAB/Python, and should be familiar with the theoretical aspects of statistics/data science too (i.e. proving results on theoretical guarantees of algorithms). The duration of the position is subject to discussion, but expected to be one/two years.
